Impact of Work-Life Balance on Employees’ Performance in the Banking Industry in Nigeria: A Study of Guaranty Trust Bank, Gwagwalada, Abuja.

Abstract

The impact of work-life balance on employees’ performance in Guaranty Trust Bank, Gwagwalada Abuja was examined in the study. Interest was in finding out how work-life balance influences employees’ performance. Point- in- time data was collected from primary sources and the Chi Statistic was adopted in testing the relationships hypothesised. Finding revealed that the impact of work-life balance on employees’ performance in Guaranty Trust Bank, Gwagwalada Abuja was significant. It was therefore recommended that the management of Guaranty Trust Bank Gwagwalada Abuja should try to have a mix of balance for work commitment and family commitment of employees’, since the adoption of work-life balance has been known to contributed significantly to employees’ performance in terms of employees’ efficiency and effectiveness in other establishments..
