Abstract

This paper attempts to appraise economic reforms in Nigeria and their implication for small and medium scale industrialists in Nigeria. The major thrusts and objectives of the reforms, particularly the Structural Adjustment Programme adopted in 1986 and the current National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy, are outlined The study reveals that small and medium scale industrialists have not benefited from reform programmes in the past. The implication of the current development strategy is explored.
